Sad News

We are sad to report that on 7th January this year, Shirley-Ann Lee (Mansfield) 1957 passed away.
Shirley-Ann had suffered from Alzheimer’s and passed away peacefully in her sleep, with her husband of 64 years alongside her. Throughout her life, she was involved with sport, from playing tennis and lacrosse when younger, to golf and bowls in later life. She was an accomplished gymnast who made the GB Olympic trampoline training squad ahead of Mexico in 1968. She taught PE moving on to be county sports organiser for Shropshire in the 1960’s.
Sadly, she lost touch over the years with her colleagues from Bedford, but was always very proud of her time there.
