The Bedford Competition - International short story and poetry awards. Closing date oct 31st. Entry fee £6 or 3 for £12 . Entries can be short stories (300 words) or Poems (40 lines). Sadly, Old students day didn't happen this year but one group of innovative old students got together to 'virtually' demonstrate they are still at the top of their game when it comes to ball skills. 

 

“The girls of 7 Linden saw each other day in day out when at BCPE...they even celebrated their 21st birthdays together in 1972. Since then they have met up at college reunions from time to time. However during the Covid 19 lockdown in the spring of 2020 the ‘girls’ used their advanced technical skills!!...to have weekly get togethers on something called Zoom. They then decided they wanted to play together...whilst apart, they wanted to use the skills they had learnt at BCPE 50 years before...all it needed was one yellow tennis ball and a rummage in the attic for moth eaten PE kit and equipment ...“Click here to see the results
