Elizabeth Lloyd Dobson (nee Davies) died peacefully, aged 94, on 17th October, 2021, at Boarbank Hall Nursing Home in Cumbria...... 
Elizabeth attended Bedford Physical Training College from 1945 to 1948. In August,1948, she married Edward (Ted) Dobson, an army officer, and there followed 10 years of a peripatetic army life with 12 house moves in these 10 years. In 1957 she commenced her teaching career in Kent, developed it when she moved to Hampshire in 1958, and retired from it in 1972. Her retirement was busy. She looked after her grandchildren, worked as a Meals-on-Wheels co-ordinator with the WRVS, and further developed her interest in sewing by becoming an expert in quilting, winning various prizes for her hand sewn quilts. In 2012 she moved to Cumbria to be closer to family. She is survived by her three children, six grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren, who all miss her greatly.

So sad to come by this and read of Mrs Dobson’s passing. She was a lovely lady that I came to know, when I worked for a time at Boarbank as a carer. I will always fondly remember her. My sympathies go to her family and all who knew her xxx
