Elizabeth Taylor (Spalding) 1932- 2022

Elizabeth attended Bedford (of which she always spoke with the greatest affection) from 1950-1953. She taught PE at Portsmouth High School and then her old alma mater Norwich High School until she married John Taylor in 1959. Elizabeth played lacrosse for England Reserves and was Norfolk Ladies' 100 Yards champion. After having three children, she returned to Norwich High School and eventually became deputy headmistress of its Stafford House junior department. She left in 1984 to study for BA in Modern European History at The University of East Anglia. John died in 2006 after which she embarked on a career in dance drama, which continued well into her eighties. She had seven grandchildren. 

Elizabeth always kept in touch with Bedford and her old student friends, in particular her former roommate Brenda Coxen nee Ashworth.
