We are sad to inform you that Madeline West nee Gibbons known at college as Mandy West has passed away. She was at Bedford from 1967- 70. Pat Brooke has passed on this information and is willing to be contacted, please leave a message below with your e mail address and we will pass on Pats e mail address. 
We are sad to announce the passing of one of our oldest members of the association, Eileen Murphy nee Byres who was at Bedford from 1940 - 1943. She attended Bedford during WW2 and reached the grand age of 102, a great role model for an active and healthy lifestyle. 
Thelma Denton, (1950 - 1953) one of our Vice Presidents, died peacefully on 2nd November 2024. Thelma was a member of staff at the PE College and an enthusiastic and loyal supporter of our Association. She served as a committee member for many years, before being invited to be a Vice President, a role that she accepted with great humility. She will be greatly missed. 
We are sad to inform you that Beryl Bowie nee Ducksbury Group 1 (1948) passed away peacefully on Saturday 5th January 2025, aged 97. 
Beryl was so very proud of her time at BPTC, has kept every Annual Report for the last 10 years, spoke regularly about her time at college and how it launched her entire teaching career, first in PE and later in junior schools. 
She absolutely loved her job. 
She attended a reunion a few years ago and enjoyed a demonstrtaion and had lunch with some of her friends, they were the oldest in attendance! 
We are sad to announce the passing of Patricia Wisely nee Waller on 24th December. Pat was a student at Bedford in the 1950's and had an excellent career, she taught PE and hockey at Streatham and Oxford High Schools, Southgate Tecnical College and Kingston aka KGS. Pat also taught some famous people including Miriam Margolyes and James Cracknell. She was England ladies volleyball manager and a member of the South of England hocket team in the 1960's.
