As testimony to the longevity of friendships borne out of 'College Years' that have stood the test of time, many Year Groups are choosing to return to Bedford to mark notable milestones.
Following the loss of our Alma Mater at Lansdowne Road, and a significant legacy walk with Members dressed in former Physical Training uniform across town in May 2003 - led by a London red double decker bus – we now meet at the University of Bedfordshire Bedford Campus – where Physical Education teachers are still taught today.

The Association has supported a new focus for a trip to Lansdowne Road - viewing the re-birth of The Plantation focusing on Physical Activity still and very much providing for the local community.

Our Founder in 1903, the Margaret Stansfeld Memorial Stone is partnered with an impressive Interpretative Board (part-funded by Bedford Borough Council and Bedford Harpur Ward). The Board explains the origins of The Plantation.

The Honorary Degree Graduation Legacy Fund has raised a substantial amount to create a young children’s activity area, based on Physical Activity. We are working closely with Bedford Borough Council and Harpur Ward. Following a chance meeting we were invited to Polham School and Nursery. The children drew pictures to help with the design of the area.
Committee members and members of Bedford Borough Council are pictured here at the Plantation with Helen Pankhurst who spoke at the first Honorary Degree Award Ceremony.
