Hello guest
Your basket is empty
We are sad to announce the death of Pam Brown in October 2018 and Old BCPE student from 1966 - 1969. Some friends from her time at college write some memories below.........
Each year 7 of us who were students of BCPE 1966-69 meet for a couple of days laughter and fun. We owe it to ourselves as we lived together in college for those three intense years. Convent obs., Teaching Practice, the swimming test etc etc. We have visited York, Bath, Oxford, Cambridge and Liverpool. This year the shock of hearing Pam Brown had suffered what would be a fatal stroke brought us up short. Instead of Winchester October 8-10th we met to celebrate Pam’s full and successful life on October 12th.
Her humanist service organised by her much loved family-brother Alan, sister-in-law Elizabeth and nieces Laura and Louise-brought out the local community in force. A lifetime spent in Blyth was remembered by friends from Infant school, Grammar School , Amateur Dramatic ‘players’ , ‘It’s a knock-out’ , Magistrates and teaching .
Pam was celebrated for her strength of character, sense of humour, loyalty, generosity, conscientiousness, passion for education including support of children and her devotion to Northumberland and The North East.
We six will meet next year to follow the Winchester trip Pam had planned. She will be well remembered.
